Folks often ask if it is possible to remove the LD-installed cab-over entertainment center to add needed bed space. The answer is yes, it is possible, but it is not feasible and is not recommended by the factory.
When being built for use as a bed, the factory adds special reinforcing and designs the area differently. You cannot change back to a bed from an entertainment center without risking some structural issues you don't want to have to deal with...weight up there being one of them (and the reason for the reinforcement if it's going to be a queen bed for two people).Owners have been told emphatically by the factory that the overcab structure was not strong enough to be converted into a sleeping area.
It undoubtedly would be strong enough for daytime storage of bedding and other light items, however. But keep in mind the construction methods used by Lazy Daze - removing the center could be quite a project.
